Daharkazangel
I have 14 peps and as far as I can tell look like ALL female! Sizes vary from say 4cm maybe to about 8cm now. How big untill you can clearly sex them?? And what are the chances ive got all females haha!!
Smaas
4cm a bit to small to tell and you'd be very lucky to get all females
fish4fish3
super lucky to get all females... probably the same chance of winning the lotto. I wouldn't be counting my chickens until they are all at least 8months+... generally females will grow slower /smaller but hormones, water quality and stocking density can also have an effect. Say they are all from the same batch I'd say the larger ones would be males and the smaller will be female... Sometimes you get mixed batches from different generations cause the breeder has held back on sales with smaller /undersized fish and sold them later, add the fact that fish have growth spurts too and you have yourself a whole bunch of different variables... kitmini
My female peps have two distinct bristles on the tip of their nose and the males all along the edge and up the bridge which in turn splits and forms double bristles. I brought an breeding trio of 2 girls and a boy, but one female turned out to be a male after being placed in a 4ft with lots of hiding spaces, and hide places.
