gingerbeer
Seems to be a fair few mature fish going at the moment, even before Techdens offer to the market! Are people over L's? Or is it that there are more L's around then ever and that is the reason for so many adults being sold? Steve
The Tech Den
Hey Ginger - I think the L's are a little like people in the way with baby boomers and a growing aging community only fish have families of hundreds. People understand them a little better and look after them better so there is a growing of L-Numbers as there is just simply more of them now. Some may pass them in for various reasons from they no longer demand the prices for profit that they did and they are becoming less exotic. I still luv em and find them interesting - I just want to take a little time out from 36 tanks that was about to hit just short of 60 tanks. Will probably continue the cycle and start with a couple of tanks.
cram
not me - I love the little critters, especially my L201s - but just had a baby (no 2) and now have no time for fish.... one thing that they have going against them a bit though is that they hide and disappear - no good if your want to see your fish! BRISSY
I love them too, I think its because they are valuable people get rid of them first if they are not looking after their tanks or got other things in life

goldenswimmers
I cant speak from experience with Ls but I reckon fish in general come and go in cycles...and whilst they are all up for grabs recently...in a few months...people will be wondering where they are...fish swap hands and interests change...as much as their are more fishees in the game..there are also more people in the game...and not everyone is an experienced fish keeper...i think a lot of fish get lost in the mix/even die etc...Ive also noticed a few people buy up fry/youngsters....and then theres a period of no fish being around as they get raised and slowly sold off or paired up etc...but do think more Ls are getting out there so might be a little sign of the times....now then if someone can get some adonis plecs... Rudi078
That should be called a whale plec. It is massive and probably needs a lake to breed in. I am brand new to L's so extremely excited. Still getting over the prices, so starting small with some L333's and a L270 pair. Hoping to have some fry soon.
