TED
Gday mate, clown loaches are a natural enemy of snails. I once had a plague of snails and it was suggested that i use clown loaches to get rid off them instead of any chemicals. it worked a treat. all gone in a matter of weeks, although im not exactly sure because i ended up keeping the loaches for years. just make sure they are compatible with your other tank mates. You can also purchase snail traps bought at local fish stores. not up to scratch on these as i have never used them. good luck.
kitmini
I just use a mulberry leaf every day , pop it in a night and the next morning it is covered with the blighters . This has worked for my pep fry tank and my shrimp tank
pauljones82
or you can put a leaf of lettuce in a cup to attract them
UnexplainedWays
Loaches will remove them from sight, however they will never get rid of them. Also, anything that will eat the snails will also eat your shrimp.

mgr7686
lolits just a 90 L. The only other proble i have seen too is when i do gravel vacs. i have noticed a few small worms get sucked up. They look like blood worms kinda. I have read up on them. They are not really harmful but it they grow from overfeeding woops. So i also though these kuhli loaches could help with them too
1991brouwer
yeah or corrydoras they love protein worms i also have these in my shrimp tank
1991brouwer
oh and the khulis and frequent egg check/removal and squishing is really the best you can do next to pulling the tank down and starting up another and slowly and carefully transfering all the fish
mgr7686
well i god 2 peper corys and they done seem bothered with the protein worms. Will the kuhli loaches eat them ?. I just think that kuhli loaches are my best option atm with my other tank mates, Speacally the sherry shrimp
1991brouwer
i got 4 corrys and got rid of them just for the purpose of protein worm removal they won dig deep though so u have to stir up small spots at a time each day for them to eat them and i personally havnt seen kuhli loaches eat them
Tagged
This is something different. Take a small pump and pump the water from the tank to another tank which is higher up, say 100 mm only. Take a piece of PVC pipe, about 150 diameter, run it between both tanks. The water will trickle down the pipe to the tank with the pump and recycle back to the top tank. The pipe must be in the water at the bottom end. Shrimp will automatically migrate upstream and leave the snails behind. Good luck.

quantum8
Will the kuhli loaches eat them ?.I just think that kuhli loaches are my best option atm with my other tank mates, Speacally the sherry shrimp The kulhis that I have don't have the patience to eat snails. The only ones i've had luck with are clown and pakistani loaches. But they'll both feast on the shrimp as well. Maybe you can borrow a second tank for a few days, put the shrimp in there (with your cycled filter) and do a thorough clean of the first tank. They're a bugger to get rid of, but in the end they're not that bad really!
