mr sharp Posted October 29, 2012 Report Share Posted October 29, 2012 hi guys new to the forum hope this is the correct place for this thread saturday i added a new archer into my tank, the shop i got him from said he was eating and very active, while they had another one there i also wanted they wouldnt sell him as he wasnt eating but now since adding him into the tank he hasnt touched a single bit of food, he just sits and hides, its only been a few days but im starting to stress anyone ever had same issues?/has archers and can suggest any solutions Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

63off Posted October 29, 2012 Report Share Posted October 29, 2012 Most fish can go a few days without food quite easily, maybe he's just settling in to his new home. Are you feeding him anything different to what he was being fed where you got him? Maybe it's just a fussy eater and wants what it knows? Anyway, welcome to the forum. Also maybe contact the shop and get hold of what they were feeding it and try that.. May be a fussy eater? What are your water perameters? What are the other inhabitants of he tank? mr sharp Posted October 30, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 30, 2012 thanks, yeh they said there tank was pretty close to neutral an he was doing good, mine was pretty similar they said he was munching on blood worms, so iv tried them & tried brineshrimp but he just stared at both of them as they sunk in the tank theres an eeltail cat, a synodontis, 2 small bristle nose 3 guarmi some small loaches and an archer, a tank full of sooks, only one who seems to have a mean streek is the synodontis but thats only when the eeltail goes in his log haha other than that everything is pretty placid, and the bigger archer is always pretty close by him like doesnt stray to far from his side except when i feed them il get onto the shop and see exactly what he was eating and hope for the best i spose i was hoping somone might have just had a super simple answer, like "oh this is what you need to do" haha Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
