Dazarmy
Hey Guys I have a 6 foot tank and am setting up with 2 external canister filters, but can't decide weather to have an inlet and outlet at each end, or weather to have both inlets at one and and both outlets at the other end. Does anyone know which would be the best option?

adamski84
are you going to have any substrate in or will it be a bare bottom tank ?? the problem i c with having one at each end is that it will create a whirlpool action and all the waste will settle in the middle id suggest having both intakes at one end and the outlets at the other so its pushing from one end and sucking from the other
Betta
One at each end with them crossing over is probably better, inlet of one with the outlet of the other, personally, with such a long tank I would have the inlets at the ends & the outlets in the middle pointing opposite each other towards the pick up of the other canister, this way you'll get a figure eight loop of the water through the tank

Mackayman
I'd have a inlet an outlet at each end from opposing filters. I just think you would get the best water movement that way. Certainly wont do any harm, you dont like it , ya jus change to a diff way. Brendan
