Why is it never enough

Recommended Posts

OMG at one point I had 4x2x2 Cichlid display, 3x2x2 & 2.5x1.5x2 marine reefs, 6x2x1.5 Oscar tank, 2x1.5x1.5 planted display, 1x1x1 nano marine reef & about 40 breeding tanks but I still wanted more, it's more addictive than a certain substance that I won't mention because this is a family forum. At the moment I only have one display tank & 15 breeding tanks, oh & a Fluval Spec I want to set up for clownfish & I have severe withdrawals. I WANT A LEICHARDTI AGAIN!! Sorry for yelling but I, along with 90% of the people on this forum, have got it bad! If it wasn't for my financial controller/feng shui consultant I would have the 12x5x2.5 that tanah4128 has set up & I would probably still want more. So to sum up Daharkazangel, I know what you mean & definitely feel your anguish, I think it might have something to do with watching nature. It's so cool. :)

ha ha...love reading this..i feel normal now...I feel like I belong :)....how can we ever win with so many varieties of fish and their enviroments to recreate..thats why its never ending I reckon...you get to create your own little part of nature or at least look after some of it with the fishees...and just think of all those varieties of fish and their habitats...hmmmm..might need another tank ;)

Hi my name is mschevy And my addiction is fish keeping and breeding :) It all started one Saturday morning, seeing a 2 and a half foot tank hood stand for $70 on a for sale FB site. I decided to offer $50 and got it. So off I went and picked it up. I had know idea what i had got myself into. I didnt even know about water changes never lone all the other important stuff needed. Lucky I went to an awesume Aquarium shop (the next day after picking up my tank), where the owner asked me what I had so I told him, He would not sell me fish untill I had my water right :) He sent me home with some good batteria and to come back in a week with samply.I'm glad I went to him as with his help and the help also from the interent we now have 80 Pigeon SS Fry from one of our breeding pairs.:) But its not only the fish that breed so did the tanks we have 50 breeder tanks 1x6ft 1 more on its way 1x4ft 1x3ft. We have a range of fish, Discus, catfish, a few l no pleco's, cherry barbs, mollys, guppies, oscars, German rams, cherry shrimp, native rainbows and red line torpedo barbs. We could have worse addictions.

I used to have a number of large tanks a while back, tho they were not exactly 'mine' per se. Guys probably get my drift.

Anyways after that it was a single 2ft until about 8 month ago, then it exploded to 7 tanks 3-4 months ago. Now down to 6, and hopefully will be down to 3 soon enough.

It definitely is tempting to keep more and more fish and buy more and more tanks alright, but it won't suit my lifestyle and I know in the end it'll be a chore and I'd end up selling everything, so instead I decided to be happy with what I have (with a few additions once in a while).
