luckyfish Posted November 18, 2012 Report Share Posted November 18, 2012 A few weeks back I put our two breeding black comets into the IBC outside to get them breeding, a week later I took them out cos I decided to empty and move the IBC... Last night due to the power outage DFF went to grab the ibc and bring it in the garage to fill and spread out the fish so we didn't loose any....with only an inch or so of yucky green water in the corner of the IBC we discovered a lone baby comet, about 2cms, he has been out in the IBC for a few weeks with barely any water and in the sun. Must have been lots of eggs when I emptied it, bugger! He looks great, very plump and healthy, I shall call him.....BEAR GRYLLS lol And just checked on a bucket outside that I put all the IBC plants in....and there are more baby goldfish!!!! At least I know the parents are producing fertile eggs, gotta separate mum from dad as shes is bulging with eggs, then after a few days of 'absence makes the heart/loins grow fonder' i'll put them back together and watch the magic happen....from a distance.... behind some bushes...with some binoculars Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
