I have a green terror about 18cm's long.

He has always been a stubborn eater at one stage stopped eating his food stick and blood worms so got him some shrimp he ate them but eventually stopped eating them too. The shrimp grew and starting eating his food that we tried to feed him.

Recently he has starting turning pale around his face, his stomach has sunken in and side fins are in and tucked away and he's not moving around much at all.

I dont know what to do

any help is appreciated.

thanks

gt's are very prone to hex and sounds to be what it is in this case. you need to source metronidazole and treat in a smaller tank at a rate of 1x 400mg tab per 20 litres. retreat every 2 days for 3 treatments changing 50% water each time. once this happens it will start eating again. many people will suggest you need to treat the entire tank but it is simply not true. the hexamita organism is naturally occuring but will begin to effect the fish when water quality goes down, food quality in not sufficient and any prolonged periods of not eating. needs to be sourced through a vet for the most part though it can sometimes be found through less legal means on places like gumtree/petlink, being that its a prescription medicine used to treat.....thrush of all things ;)
