Hey all

Just doing up a design for the 4ft, 2 tier timber stand/cabinet i want to make.

Have a look a pic and tell me what you think, not sure if i need another support on the front, in the middle.post-7652-14711627866353_thumb.jpg

Stand is just on 5ft long & 4ft high & just over 1ft deep. Made it longer so i could put canisters in there as well.

Will skin it with 3mm ply

Will use 75x40 pine for the frame.

Cheers

Dan

have added the middle support and rendering...Google sketchup is pretty easy to use.

Canister for each tank to the side

Small door infront of the canisters & lid above each tank.

Unsure on the finish, paint or varnished ply.

When i built my 4 ft 2 teir i just used steel for the support of the higher tank.

Worked a treat.

How did you get the photo of what you've drawn in sketch up.

I can't work it out.

I have designed my new display but can't work out how to get it to picture form.

=)

I didn't explain properly.

I used timber for the whole construction but then just used 2 pieces of steel to support the tank.

I'm a timber man too love the stuff.

Thanks for the pointers.

=)
