Enthusiast Posted December 21, 2012 Report Share Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Everyone has there own opintions on sump meida but myself i like to run sponge filtration than bio filtration then chemical filtration. I use sponge than 100L of bio balls then Seachem pond martix than Macropore and puregin in one of my sumps and the other ill be running Sponge,K1,pond matrix, Macropore. hope this helps a little. If PH is a problem then you need to get come cacium carb to help buffer it up and avoid doing mass water changes without preping water first.
