Ok so let me start out by saying these will all end up in an 8' x 2' x 2' tank

My plan after reading what seems like every Jack dempsey page on the net is as follows

1 x Jack Dempsey ( ive got him now he's about 2 inches)

2 - 4 x Geophagus Braziliensis

2 - 4 x Blue Acara

1 x Pleco

Does anyone have any concerns in regards to this setup? Also if the room is there ( in your oppinion) what other Chiclids would work in this setup?

My plan is to have them all at about 2 inches and let them get to know each other in a 4 foot tank before they get big and moody in the large setup, any concerns from anybody in regards to this?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated smile.png

Brazzies are jerks. No, actually, they're Jerks..if you're set on geos acara and jd, go with something less douchebaggy, like red humps or horse faces..unless you don't mind the agro? Be aware also that geos and jd will mostly stay down the bottom area of the tank, so your mid level and top are gona be pretty bare with just the fish you have listed.

Chuck abit of everything in lol I've got oscars in with my jd as well as a snook, fenustratus, severums, convicts, macaw and had tapijos and jag as well as Texas. Never seemed to have any problems with each other especially in the 8 footer they will thrive whatever you chuck in
