To start with here is a link that basically shows how I hatch and harvest. not my link but ya, tis how I do it too Melev's Reef - Hatch & Harvest Baby Brine Shrimp Although now we got magnetic eggs...... its gonna likely change things! aquaholic99
Decapsulated cysts will keep in the fridge for 2 weeks without the need for saline. Just squeeze as much water out as possible with a silk hankerchief.
grubby
This is the one I made, with a few mods, I used aquarium silicone not expoy, I also put lead sinkers in the bottom chamber to make it more stable and used the left over cut bottom as a lid and drilled a hole fo the air line. When the shrimp hatch and I have used the magnet to remove the shells. I connect the air line to a second airline going into the tank with a tap and allow the mixture to drain into the tank right into the range of the fry. I add salt to my tanks post water change anyway, so a litre of brine shrimp water isn't the worst thing in the world. I usually flush the hatchery with a litre of fresh to get any left over shrimp out and then take the hatchery away for a clean and start the process again, I run two hatcheries in tandem. aquaholic99
witches hats turned upsidedown are good if you need 10L sized hatchers. I use a plywood sheet with holes cut out as a holder. can hatch a cup of cysts at a time.
