lachie1998
Hey all A update on my goldfish from Brent. The ryukin trio ha been moved inside due to there pond being 35! from the heat. The has been a little ammonia issue but i have got that under control by adding two need sponges adding some stability and daily water changes. The ranchu and chu-da have both faded to gold. The thai oranda and blue oranda are looking great with some nice wen growth. Also the ranchu has a very nice tail on him. I think he may be abit loney and might need some friends(got any ranchu Brent:)) These are only preview pics, i will put them in a small tank tomorrow and get side pics with there fins extended. Once the sponges have cycled i will add another tub for they ryukin so i can hopefully get some fry

kasman
nice man This may or may not help, but I have a little framed kiddies pool outside for my pond, and one of the sides kops the full afternoon sun and would bake the water so I have some insulation over that one side (good stuff). Seems to work, water is never over 25C. stays much cooler than all my other tanks inside.

goldenswimmers
just curious lachlan..what might you be feeding the ryukins???
lachie1998
They are getting fed what the other guys get, hikari baby hikari staple, bloodworms (makes the ryukin wen grow so not to good for them?) and peas. How do you think they are looking Brent? It looks like the ryukins body has grown longer?
63off
I have to say Lachie, I love the blue oranda. My eye is quite untrained but I think they are stunning looking fish but then I have a bit of a thing for shubunkins and they obviously have some genetic material from them. What is this pond you have them in? I have 3 shubunkins I am wanting to put into a pond and I like the design of yours.
