Hi, New Member Here

Hi everyone, I thought I should introduce myself.

I am from NSW but close to the border so I hope it's ok for me to join the QLD forum .

I have been keeping freshwater tanks for about 2 years now, starting off with a fighting fish in a 20 litre tank, I now have a 6 foot low tech planted tank and have decided that my next tank will be a nano reef.

I am currently trying to decide on which tank I should get to start off with, I don't have much space so has to be under about 2 foot and I think I want to go with one of the 'all in one' type tanks as I have no marine experience.

Anyway this seems like a great forum, I am looking forward to reading and posting here :)

Welcome contessa, I'm sure you'll get a lot out of this forum, there are a lot of very knowledgable people here & they are all willing to help as much as possible.

While I think marine tanks are great & by far my favourite, I know that the smaller the volume of water, the more work they are & they can also go foul very quickly, the water parameters are very unstable & if you don't know what you're looking for or don't spot they early warning signs then the whole tank could fail & everything will perish before you know it. I'd suggest to have a fish only tank for your first marine tank, especially one that small. :egrin:

Hi contessa,

I too am starting my first reef aquarium. Will be doing lots of reading. Research and asking lots of questions.

Hope to bring my aquareef 400 home within 3 months.

Hopefully we can share our successes over the coming months, welcome

Lucy
