sample mega fish food

Recommended Posts

Wanna revive this thread again as i dont want to buy a bucket of food only to find out my fish wont touch it. My fish had been picky now and dont want massivore anymore.

Just a few grams will do. Will pay for postage in case i cant collect it.

Are there marketing guys here of nls. I think samples will promote the product specially for new entry in the market. Im checking online and stores and cant get my hands also of the small container/pack of mega food - only available on the 1.8kg bucket for $140.

I bought a bucket of it, My Peacock Bass and other Americans would not touch it. The only way I could get them to take it was to mix it with massivore 70-30. Does not seem to have the same smell, they would take it and then spit it out. This went on for two weeks before I started to mix massivore with it. I was happy to see the end of the bucket. I will not be buying any more. AOA have a KOI food that is rated better, protein and vitamins and minerals, that I would try and its half the price, I can not remember its name but it is fairly new to them.

We have 2 koi foods that have been selling VERY well to the big fish guys.

The shori (from JDP) which is only available in 5kg bags for $149.95, but which is available in 2 pellets sizes, either 4mm or 7mm. (Protein: 45%, Fat: 8.0%)

And the Koi Supreme Growth (from Ocean Nutrition) which is available in 5kg buckets for $139.95 and 2kg buckets for $69.95, but only in the 5mm pellet size. (Protein: 40.0%, Fat 9.0%)

Both foods have recieved excellent feed back, the Koi Supreme Growth is shaping up to be the peacock bass food of choice. Not only does it condition well, but its a very clean food which gives you more time to just enjoy your fish between water changes. And I think most here would know how happy I am personally with the Shori. It has cut down my fish food expenses dramatically, without impacting on breeding or fry survival.

As with trying any new food, remember to start off with small amounts and build up from there. Big predators are notorious for being fussy and not trusting new food. So try get a new type while you still have some of the pellets you are already feeding. That way you can start to feed a mix and get them used to it.

You dont want any concentrated high protein/fat pellets to be just floating around and rotting. They aint doing any good then.

So yea, start feeding lightly and slowly build up.

thank you for the offer, my fish are bottom dwellers and will need sinking pellets. I'm currently trying out nls thera-a big fish 3mm sinking pellets, but still haven't been accepted and just eats the massivore on the mix. My target is either get the mega food or continue using massivore.
