Recommended Posts

Just a quick question

Im gettin a bit lazy in my older years and im looking for a staple to feed to my bristlenose fry

has anyone tried thetechdens.com.au catfish and loach sinking powder? I have searched the net and can't find much about it except on here

Im on a bit of a low budget so i can't afford the exspensive stuff. Also open to suggestions

yeah i was just about to rage cause i was like.... THERE IS A MASSIVE LIST!. but someone already said it :) and it was more about the powder.

I have and use the fry powder and it is awesome, and like $25 for a kg it is very good value IMHO. but i only use it as a filler, and if the fry are having issues finding food (usually notice this when there is a couple of dead ones so i do 3 days straight of feeding the powder + vegs)

But i use mostly cucumber (wife and fish like it :P) or some leftover vegies that i know wont get eaten, if u check the list there are heaps there and if u try something that is not on the list please post in the thread and i will update the list.

well, a bag of carrots are pretty cheap and they last for a long time in the tank. the only reason why i try a lot of items is that we end up throwing them out (which i get pretty grumpy at wasting food cause its not cheap) so instead of doing that i put them in the tank and report the ones i try to let everyone know how it fairs (check the posts. one day ill move it into the main section of the thread)

One day i might do some research and find a farmer that is doing cucumber and see if i can get the ones he/she would usually feed to the cows or talk to coles and woolworths and grab there "going bad" ones for free. cut off the bad bits and put them into the tank.
