Yeah test the hoses and also give the impeller and the motor housing a good clean just to eliminate all possibilities.

Also make sure your o'ring is in correctly and not twisted or split.

Can be caused by many things. Media stacked too high in the baskets, polishing pads are blocked, too much slack in the hoses, too much media, lid not sealed correctly. Have you got the instruction for it? Have a read or watch the DVD. Load your baskets to the recommended height and put Vaseline all the way around the rim that the oring in the lid seals on. Vaseline also the male side where the taps fasten to on the lid. Double check hose fasteners too. I Had the same dramas but I have Sorted them out now.

Sugestion 1 turn the tv up.

My guess would be an air pocket.

I have never had a problem with mine.

The olny time was when a fish moved the air stone to under the intake.

Other than that runs like a dream.
