Donny@ageofaquariums
Will be using this thread to update progress on my 8x2.5x2.5 aquarium. It began here http://www.qldaf.com/forums/dry-goods-trader-13/monster-fish-tank-sale-including-livestock-90477/ But thinking its prob best not to continue bumping a thread in the trader! Hence this thread pictures to follow.

Donny@ageofaquariums
Ok so plans to get some stuff done today, fell through....... babysitting day instead........ Buuuuuuut going to put a few hours into it tonite. A few pictures of the live stock, I have decided I will be removing a hundred or so of the smaller peacocks. Its hard to put up shots of it in this state....... but at least it will be dramatic improvement once I get it sorted! The goldfish are loving this tank, very cool to see them so happy. The rostratus male is not impressed that I have yet to add his sand in. Cannot wait to get a shot of him in his spawning colours, as he is looking epic. Donny@ageofaquariums
OK ripped out the driftwood (what was I thinking?) as my water has now gone orange and the pH had started to drop. Replaced with some coral and grit mix. Also added a nice pile of coral base rock to the centre. Tank still looks terribad in pictures without lighting and with orange water.......... but will get some chemical media in filters tonight, and the lights are now in the works. Doesnt look it but that rock pile is a 2X2X2 foot cube! One of my favourites of the peacocks in there, not the best shot, but such a pretty fish. Donny@ageofaquariums
OK so just cut/smashed out all the baffles in the sump. realisticly I should have drained tank, and moved it out and then removed sump AND then redone it. buuuuuuuuuuuuut instead I spent a few hours slicing at it with blades. Hoping to simplify it right down as theres not much arm room there to play with due to the height of the sump. Anyway no pictures but lots of glass........ I did try to break the first one, but it was laminated glass! So it cracked and sent glass shards everywhere BUT stayed in place lol. Hmmmmmm what else........... Well I added 25 adult cuckoo catfish as well as an adult albino dragon blood. Also removed the alpha red ob and replaced him with another one...... as he just wasnt coming out much. Preferred to sook in his cave. Only have one picture to add, and its the cuckoos in the bucket, ready to get moved accross Will have the lights setup soon though, and then there shall be pictures. good ones
