smicko
Hi mate, to my knowledge venezuelan black are a misconception, they are not black. Are you chasing ones that look like this If so, they are a line bred version of c.shultzii. they were bred in germany a long time ago. The fry are a lot more sensitive to water conditions than normal cories, but they look magic in my humble opinion, the only cory venezuelan I have seen look like this I hope this helps you find what you are looking for and when you breed them I want some. corymad
thank mick yeah got breeding colony of venzulen greens, on the cory world site, the black are a variant of the venzulen sp , maybe might be worth me doing bit more research, and get to the bottom of this question, Gavin
smicko
Definitely worth finding out for sure what sp they are. Have a look on planetcatfish site their is a few threads there, some saying they were bred in germany and others saying chech republic. I would definitely be keen for some if they are here. __CAV__
The blacks are definetely here. fishchicks had some about 6months ago. That's where I'd start searching or maybe give pet city a whirl i think they might have ha some a while back too. And by orange lasers u don't mean gold lasers or are they 2 different colour forms? I've got the golds and can get them breeding, I just can't seem to raise the fry

luckyfish
orange lasers, are you referring to gold lasers? Orange lasers are extremely rare to come by, I have one red laser female I got a few years back imported from Germany, the only one I know of as the other 4 bought in didn't make it from what I was told. From what I've read and have done previous searches on you may not get them here, I did lots of personal searches a couple of years back, I rang almost every supplier and stockist and enquired but they weren't getting them in due to some thing, a lot of people also call other types of lasers 'orange' lasers due to different colours they give off in the light. They have also been known to be called neon gold and usually look like gold stripe lasers. But best of luck to you.
luckyfish
I gave a call around to about 6 different lfs the other day enquiring about the black venz aswell corymad, seems we are after the same thing lol, however some hadn't even heard of them, one of them even questioned if lasers exsisted...ah...ok, seems they though i was making cory lasers up...hmmm. Petcity said they would hopefully get some more black venz in the next week or two if that helps but yes the price is just a bit steep
