antg
Just wondering if anyone here has a specific way they clean silk plants? Mine are starting to get a bit discoloured. I was thinking of a very mild bleach/water mix but thought this may dissolve the silk.
PaleAle
I wonder if you throw them in a dishwasher lol, it might just work. If you try it let us know how it went.
BigPete86
If its algae buildup? that's discolouring them (algae is the culprit for mine) then I just pull them out & scrub the leaves together with my hands under the tap. Cleans em up to near new, be firm with the scrub just don't be too rough otherwise you'll wrinkle or break leaves off.
BigPete86
Oh yeah & if I'm lazy & the buildup gets bad then I take a micropore pad to the leaves (I use Balbo). It's a lil time consuming this way, doing individual leaves n all but it's only if I've been slack & haven't done em for 4-6months. Doing the tap scrub takes 20-30secs per plant
