giantg
I used to love the wine glass with tiny shrimp in it at Wet Petz and I am tempted to try it myself. Just how hard are nano tanks? I've got a sand substrate to use, some very very small driftwood with the tiniest anubius on it, and some shrimp. Reckon I can throw it in with some cycled water and see what happens? I thought I'd get an LED reading light to sit over the top of it.

Yodapwnsasmurf
Subwassertang looks nice in miniature tanks, and it grows like little bushes.

Wraithie
Hey mate, nanos themselves aren't too difficult, it becomes mire so when you add livestock. What type of shrimp are you using, cherries would probably be okay, do they need aeration? The other thing I had to keep in mind with my sealed nano was to open the lid regularly to refresh the air, they can also be susceptible to drastic temp changes. Best of luck, I love nanos
giantg
I am reconsidering the container... I think it might have looked nice in an oversized wine glass. But for the moment I've got a sand substrate, a small rock, driftwood, a 1cm anubis (very cute lol) and two white clouds. It's sitting under a lamp right now (I am tempted to attach an LED reading light to the lid and bend it around). Need to ditch the driftwood and add subwasstertang. Anyone local to me got any shrimp or subwassertang floating around?
Yodapwnsasmurf
I can't see the pic :'( Um, I have a bit of Subwasser if you want it? And I can see if there are any shrimp left in with my Paradise Fish, but I doubt it.

giantg
Oh God... I think I just started my husband off on a mini project. We have some unused cheap kero lamps you can hang. Perfect for sealing up and converting into a nano tank, put a light in the lid and hang from the wall. Tempting tempting...
