fishkeeper101
Hi everyone i was just wondering if anyone has ever had a red devil that gets picked on. Recently my female convict died leaving her partner alone he is a big boy with a big lump on his head. So i put him in with my recently bought red devil that is about 7 or 8 inches. He pushes her around. If she is in his path he doesn't go around her he goes straight through her and she moves. I thought red devils were meant to be the meanest fish . Is it possible to get a friendly devil.
Dr.Suess
It might be because its a female. I think the male red devils are the aggressive ones.
Mama Mason
You may find the devil has been in a tank with other fish before you bought her and as a result is more willing to share her space. I have a number of adult devils in one tank that get along just fine, also have had other fish in with them and no trouble. Depends on what they grew up with.
