Recommended Posts

Hi all, selling my fish due to being posted oversees on deployment for 6 months, so wont be around to look after them.

I purchased these moliro from 2 separate breeders on this forum, petfish and tim. The fish are around 8 months old.

Please pm me offers, and I will get back to you.

Cheers, Dave.

thanks z240, I was trying to raise ph without chemicals, but its a slow frustrating process, I (the tank) managed to get it up to 8ph for a week but it naturally levels out back to 7.6, all fish are thriving and touch wood, i haven't had any problems to date, tanks been up and running for about 6mths. :)

So does that mean no salts or buffers ctn13? If so why aren't you using rift lake salts & a buffer??? Fluctuating pH is bad for all fish & water with a lack of minerals is bad for Rift Lake cichlids or any other Hard water fish...

The R L salts will bring your pH up to 8-8.2, then by adding a buffer (I use carbonate hardener) it not only adds calcium, magnesium & other minerals required by Rift Lake fish but it keeps your pH stable.

BTW problems from mineral deficiencies don't necessarily present straight away (if you see the prob at all) at best you'll shorten the lifespan of your fish JMO...

Fellow Moliro lover & keeper here, so advice for ctn & a free bump for Dave44 (who says blokes can't multi task lol)
