Daharkazangel
I can't decide guys! Those that have had Oscars will understand....and I drove far and wide to get my silver dollars recently, and don't get me started on my sexy gold spot.....but I somehow feel its time to move them all on to make way for a bigger better Ellioti project.. then again I'm attached...don't want to regret selling but don't want to regret not, argh what do I do???! Anyone been in a similar situation??? I just can't decide...

kasman
Theres an unwritten law I stick to ... Never ever sell an oscar. haha nah, just kidding. But srsly, if you want to try something new go for it. Just have a plan and commit to it before you do anything, The oscars are in a 6ft right? You could easily chuck in a JD, GT, Salvini etc. I have a similar setup with those fish in it plus a pbass, and just one oscar. It has remained my fave tank for the last few yrs. I cycle differnt fish through it, but the oscar always stays.
Daharkazangel
Nah kasman its only a 5x2x2 and has two Oscars Wahhhh cant decide what to dooooo. I literally have no room for anymore tanks
kasman
mate a 5x2x2 is a good volume. I reckon some more smaller fish like GTs and JD etc could rejuvinate your enthusiasm for the tank and fish.

Yodapwnsasmurf
I'll happily take the dollars if you don't want 'em! But I think you should keep them, they are awesome fish!
Tomartin
I feel your feel bro. I also have a 5x2x2 with 2 oscars and a couple of goldspots. I've been considering rehoming them because i need to make room for Caesar the Mangrove Jack I get sad thinking about it. All my friends say, "but they're just fish!"... You get an unexplainable attachment to them
Mitch86
I remember seeing your YouTube vid of those oscars and saw how cool they are when you pick up there food and they get all excited! They have awesome character, don't sell!

Aqua Addict
How big are the ellioti...? Have you trialed a pair with the oscars? Could be a win win situation...
Daharkazangel
How big are the ellioti...? Have you trialed a pair with the oscars? Could be a win win situation... Really? I was more thinking of using the Oscar tank as a breeding tank so I can use my current four foot breeder tank as a larger grow out...but you could be on to something
th3f0rg0t3n
just think of the bad life your oscars would be destined for if you decide to sell, might help keep things in perspective. nobody going to treat them like they're original owner, just that type of fish. silver dollars are keepers, can mix them with numerous big fish/small fish/predators, just not your plants. just my 2c worth, lol. Wraithie
I agree with angry, I won't get rid of my oscars, they have too much personality. I do think its funny that people think of fish differently to how they view cats and dogs, can you imagine buying a puppy only to sell it on when it gets big and you want to try something different? I gave 2 of my oscars to an x after her one died and I can promise you that they get treated better then they did at mine she even rang me up in a panic one night as she ran out of food for them and wasn't getting paid for 3 days
