hareysfish Posted July 31, 2013 Report Share Posted July 31, 2013 Sunshine peacock is a common name for all the yellow peacocks, eg, baenschi,maleri gold, German yellow etc, but the maleri's and bangers are the pure strains, whilst the yellow/German yellows are line bred from the mixers above, if that helps. jonpaul Posted September 20, 2013 Report Share Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) aulonocara stuartgranti maleri chipoka and stuartgranti maleri chidunga rocks are the sunshine peacocks, aulonocara stuartgranti maleri maleri island is the yellow regal aulonocara baenschi is most commonly known as the benga or NEW yellow regal (the sunshines closest relative) aulonocara species "gold" peacock is a hybrid - its origin of species is unknown gold and sunshine peacocks are not the same fish... hobbyists and breeders have been choosing labels as they please to sell something they can not rightfully name.
