kasman
After a trial of a small tub Im waiting on delivery for my first 1.8kg bucket thanks to techden I was very impressed with the small amount I had. It just looked, smelt and felt yummy being soft. I nearly tried some myself lol. AND for the fact it quotes ingredient amounts like astaxanthin - 50mg/kg - which is a very high content. Just wondering who else is a fan and how long have you been using it for?
PaleAle
Been using it for months. I like how you can roll it in a ball for bigger fish & just sprinkle it for the smaller fish like silver$ but some of my fish won't touch it. I can't blame them cause personally, i think it smells (just a bit) like paint. You can eat it if you want kasman but you might get better results sniffing it dude. lol.. EXACTLY! its a bit like playdough eh, but srsly its been a selling point for me having a range of different sized fish. Not sure I remember it having an off smell like paint, but yeh interesting some of your fish wont take it. The sample I had I was feeding it to goldfish, americans, fh's, bettas and afircans all with no probs. Bit of an all round food like NLS I reckon. I know you like your NLs Paleale, and I nearly bought my first bulk container of it if it wasnt for the funky smell my tanks get when I use it and the way the waste from it seems to turn to silt and clog my sponge filters. Was a real pain in the arse when iv used it in the past. Had none of that with NEw Era.
Nini
Yeah, we bought a tub of plec pellets a few weeks ago .. The oscar goes CRAZY for it! He pounces on it before anything else gets a chance -- which is okay, because the silver dollars like the oscar food <.< guppies seem to like it while it's sinking, but I've learnt to distract them with flakes now so the peps actually get some xD haha.. I like that it's dividable, and doesn't just crumble when you break it -- and I'm actually able to break it with my weak fingers XD haha .. it's definitely become a must-have in our food cupboard We bought a second tub today. PaleAle
I still use NLS exclusively for my Africans, but mix it up a little for the Ams. I give them NLS, New Era & Hikari. I'm not sure why i do that actually, i just do. I don't use sponge filters so never had problems with them clogging up from using NLS, buuut, i believe people use too big of a pellet & the fish have to chew it, thus making a mess when it's supposed to be swallowed whole but that's JMO & yeah mate, i'll continue to use New Era. Good Stuff..
Yodapwnsasmurf
I just won a tub on a Facebook group comp, and actually a sponsor of my Facebook page has sent me up a couple of trials for some more competitions I am going to hold in the next few months. Neither have arrived so I haven't tried it yet but I'm excited!
