99AWD
Hey, Just wondering if anyone has had GT and Oscar juvies together as they grow. I recently brought an Oscar juvie and I've put it in with my 3 GT's, but it doesn't look like they're getting along as well as I'd hoped.. I'm about to move and will be setting up my new 4ft tank for them, but will they continue to fight and chase each other? Kinda still a noob in regards to aquascaping but will be doing my research before getting the 4ft going - any hints or tips I may miss/not think to research? Thanks in advance! fishkeeper101
In my experince i have had some get long and some dont. A bigger tank may reduce the fighting but if they dont wanna be in the same tank as eachother its going to be hard to get them to. Also have you tried target fish they have worked wonders for me. I use giant danios snd have had some luck with tiger barbs. Good luck
Donny@ageofaquariums
How big are they now? because size plays a big part. I have kept them together before many times......... but a lot of it comes down to the sizes, and how the tank is setup. kasman
they should be fine. safety in numbers though. Iv been growing up a heap of JD and feddie juvies maybe 30+ together and they are all fine at about 4-8cm. A little chasing, torn fins and missing scales is all part of the fun for them. 99AWD
They're still all small, around the 6-8cm mark.. Here are a few pics. I am guessing they'll calm down once in the bigger tank, but I was a bit worried. Thanks guys
Donny@ageofaquariums
Quite similar in size too. Should be fine, but if you are worried add more ornaments to give more hiding spots.
