How did the trip go Ian ? Did you fill your pockets with eggs and fry ? :)

yep i have your order Steve, if you can have the bail money$$$, a change of clothes and lawyer ready lol just wearing the mankini on arrival lol

Were the fish hard to find?

fish just appeared in front of your eyes Pete, with plenty of surprises.... that big catfish swam out from the cave when i was filming the nigriventer with juvs (bottom two pics). They aren't shy either, around a metre plus (saw larger ones elsewhere).

You get a spread of the species at different locations with site specific colour morphs. Suprised to find that lanisticola at that depth 18m or so, have to check dive log. Did a night dive that was realy interesting too... amazing colours

Sounds so tempting, what does it roughly cost $$

Around 2 big ones for the safari - covers 2 weeks accom (mix of lodges & one camp), dives (12+), boat, transprot, airport transfers & food. Drinks are additional, beers around $1.5 to $2 US equivalent. You just have to get yourself there first so a few options for flights. Have all your medications and vaccinations done in advance, another few hundred $$.

Go with an open mind because you are travelling with a small, international group in isolation in the poorest Africa. It's all about the fish..... all about the fish ;)

Tang safari price is a couple of hundred more because the lodge used is much more isolated to get to.

Just breed and sell a few hundred of your featherfins, malawis etc and you'll be on your way. hth
