trentflanders
Have two peppermints both would be 8 - 10 cm in length, have had them for quite some time now, approx 2 and a half years, grew them up from fry I bought when I first got into fish. Anyways, I thought I had a pair when one developed bristles, but now I am thinking I might have two females?? Can someone help me determine the sex of these fish. Pic one is the one I thought was going to be the male but is now making me think female, it is the bigger of the two fish. Thanks Trent
thatsright99
On my phone... The pics are blurry at best. 1st pic, lower fish looks to be more male by the bristles. See if there's a little fork at the ends of the bristles. If there is they are male. The second looks more female, but again a better pic is needed. Have a look and see
steve6610
from the pics, i'm thinking females, but i'm not 100%, have a close look and see if the bigger one has any forked bristles, or any going up towards the eyes, at 10cm you should be able to tell,

th3f0rg0t3n
girls with facial hair are certainly not very attractive, maybe its different in the fish world
Tomartin
I'd say females too, The head is more triangle than square. At 2 and a half years old if they were males they would be bushier than Borat's mustache.
trentflanders
As far as I can see no bristles up the nose, and the front bristles are short. I can try and get some better photos up.
