aquafunk
What is the best external canister filter on the market today? I am looking to buy a 7 foot tank? 800 liters +
Sacrilicious
For a tank that size i'd probably personally use a sump. Otherwise if you had to pick a canister I'd say you couldn't go past the fluval FX5... although you will find some people are very attached to the eheim brand

AussieDIYFK
i agree the 2080 have twice the bio as a fx
Donny@ageofaquariums
The big eheims are power efficient and yea just hold so much media. Really can handle so much fish waste. I'd agree they are the best. If you are on a budget, you could throw 3 of the 2000lph aquanova cannisters on there. The component quality is not eheim quality...... but they are very cheap. And with a media upgrade they become quite capable. Get some wave makers in there too, to prevent waste landing on the substrate and you'll be cheering! JWoods
Eheim 2080 is great. A sump on wheels. It's also flow adjustable.
