I know in the wild its about 90cm, but Iv heard 60cm dia is biggest in an aquarium. Is that right? And how fast do they grow? Iv also heard very fast. Good clean water and constant feeding they grow quiet big and quickly. Growth depends on water quality, waterchanges and feeding. But some just grow alot quicker then others. Minimum 3ft for longterm imo for a female. 2.5ft for a male as they grow smaller then females. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

litigator666 Posted October 10, 2013 Report Share Posted October 10, 2013 mine is 2ft accross excluding tail. if it stretch on the width of the 1meter tank, it still has around 15cm of open space to move around. if space is your problem get a male as they don't get too big and you can appreciate them more gliding in the floor of the tank. 2ft wide for a male will do for a long time.
