The Tech Den
We have the Aquael Turbo Filters, they have a section that you can put in the Macropore if you took out the rings. These use both Mechanical and Bio Filtration in one. Great if you do not have the room for canister but would like some bio filtration. ozmo
Very interesting John. Just curious... If you were to use Macropore would it need to be in a resin bag? Or, is this setup to work like a FBF?

TwoTurtles
Purigen in a resin bag? Yep. Already had 3x100ml bags . Might be able to stuff a 4th in. I didn't try nor need a 4th for my tank
The Tech Den
Yes you would need the resin bags to hold the media or they would escape. You could use MarinePure Spheres in there too if you wanted maybe a combo of the two - you may not fit alot of the MarinePure Spheres but you would not need a lot. The surface area of the MarinePure Spheres are massive and you could end up with a tricky little internal that is just awesome. Here is a link to the MarinePure Spheres and scroll down and have a squiz at the surface area. CerMedia MarinePure 3.8l Spheres Bio Media Here is just a little demo on the surface area.
