Stevie wonder
I guess it depends if you have to keep moving? Would be a pain to keep moving tanks and fish around :/
matt_a
Id draw the line at around 50 tanks, just as a courtesy to my landlord.
jonno_c88
j have about 20 up and running. the inspections are pretty funny, all they do is talk about how nice the tanks look and how much work it would be to maintain them. Tiziri
That would depend on the real estate really. Although the RTA does not consider fish as pets, ultimately it is up to the landlord. We have a 6footer and 2x 2footers. When we got the 6footer they were gobsmacked and impressed, however, we had to prove we had contents insurance to cover any damage it might do. I work in insurance and know how messy things like this can get. Cheers Cammy
Chris Tschumy
In my opinion it depends on where they are. If i was a landlord, I would not want large tanks inside the house on carpet or similar non-water friendly surfaces. I have the majority of mine in the garage and have had no mention of them from owner/rental inspector

Sounds like our inspections, the inspection lady buys fish off us to display in her real estate office.
Rastinger62
I just raised this issue 2 days ago and thought about not going ahead with my american racking I'm just about to set up. The missus said keep going so I will haha I have another inspection on the 27th of this month and all they do is check out the fish and take some pics for the owner. Assuming they like fish since I have 40 odd tanks now and some 8 of them are 6x2x2's or 8x2x2's.
kasman
Main thing is having to move tanks and fish if your lease ends. Or just be prepared to sell the lot before u move and start over. Most fish are replacable.

greenz7
We have 40 tanks, though there's a clause in our rent, so that if we want to add any more tanks 3ft or bigger it has to go through the real estate/owner.... See what they say when we have our rent inspection on Thursday....
