Yodapwnsasmurf
Why the hell are these fish so expensive??? And more importantly, why are they called peppermint angels? Aren't leafy and weedy sea dragons ridiculously expensive as well?

liquidg
Why the hell are these fish so expensive???And more importantly, why are they called peppermint angels? Aren't leafy and weedy sea dragons ridiculously expensive as well? From the depths it lives in bringing it up and have it survive would be near impossible. As you go deeper the temps decrease and with low temps a fishes swim bladder expels quite slowly. In winter it’s a pain the rear end trying to bring something like clowns and angels being the worst, up from any deeper then 50 feet let alone 55 meters. That would be just one reason why they are as dear as poison. Centropyge boylei (Peppermint Angelfish) Edited November 13, 2013 by liquidg
