LAJC2012
Hi guys, not sure if this is the right section or not, technically I am about to start a DIY project of sorts so I guess it fits....... I have a 3x2 tank that currently has a glass divider in it, I want to remove the divider to get just one larger tank, there is no other bracing on the tank apart from the divider that is siliconed down the centre. If I remove the divider will I need to add bracing front to back across the top of the tank? I dont expect someone to vouch for the strength of the tank but if anyone has 3x2 tanks I would be interested to see what bracing they have on theirs. Cheers
Oromis
I'm fairly sure you'd need to add bracing once you remove the divider. My 3x2x2 has two ~5cm front and back braces, the a big 15cm cross brace down the middle with another two ~ 4cm cross braces (I think these are mostly for the lids though) I would post a picture but I'm not currently at home. LAJC2012
Thanks Oromis, I kinda figured its better to be safe than sorry, I should be able to cut the divider up to turn into braces.
