Tanganyika Cichlid

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I am looking for 3-4 pieces of the following cichlid fry:

Julidochromis transcriptus

Altolamprologus 'spec' sumbu

Lamprologus ocellatus or Lamprologus ornatipinnis

Neolamprologus kungweensis

Julidochromis ornatus

Lamprologus caudopunctatus

I prefer the area of between Gold Coast and Brisbane.

Thanks,

Jani

Mitch.0 has ocellatus

I've got sumbus and julidochromis but only Regani rather than transcriptus

Alto Comps Sumbu 8 available - 2 different sizes but can sell in pairs

$120 per pair (unproven breeding pair that is - just a male and female will be provided and sexes are 99.9% chance of being correct but nothing is ever certain lol because fish can be funny)

Julies are $6ea 3-4cm

Hi shon982,

I have checked Mitch.0's post and saw only blue occi, but I would like gold.

I think the Regani is too big for me. I have a small tank (65Ltr) only. :( How are big the breeding pair?

These sumbus are how big? These are the smaller or the larger?

I supplement my searching with the followin species:

Neolamprologus kungweensis

Julidochromis ornatus

Lamprologus caudopunctatus

Thanks the answer!

Ah yes probably too big, I've got them in a similar volume tank and that's all that is in there and lots of fry

They'd be fine by themselves in that size tank but not with other fish

The sumbus are various sizes so a big one will be matched with a small one i.e. a male with a female

Ah ok, thanks!

Probably I have to change my mind. I am afraid of this tank will be small 3 different species. Maybe enough if I find few shell cichlid and Juli or Lamprologus or Neolamprologus cichlid.

I will let you know if choose the sumbus.

Thanks,

Jani

Very nice cichlid!

But these are too big for my tank. I have only a 65Ltr tank. I try to choose suitable cichlid for this. I had before brichardi, but if they start spawn the other fish has to go away from this small room.

Could you identify the sex? (caudopunctatus)

Are the become aggressive when they spawn?

Are you able to delivery them to somewhere or no?
