Brenton Posted March 3, 2014 Report Share Posted March 3, 2014 hey all, i am looking to ship some fish to canberra in the near future. have never shipped before and need some good advice how to set it up and get it all sorted. if there is any rules regarding interstate transport of fish, how to bag them for a safe trip , costs etc etc. up until this point all my fish have been picked up from my house or taken to the lfs. any help on this would be greatly appreciated. cheers Brenton Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

aquaholic99 Posted March 3, 2014 Report Share Posted March 3, 2014 Fast your fish for at least 2 days before shipping. Most airline carriers require "seafood" grade fish boxes and charge by volume or weight (which ever is more expensive). All fish must be double bagged with usual 'Goose Neck' to conform with IATA standards. Label fish box well with receivers name, phone and airport. If you get stuck for oxygen, contact me.
