aquafunk
It's a Eden 155. 600-4200 l/h is the pump sufficient Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Tech Den
With a sump you can have more media and filtration. Easy to access and clean. You can easily see what needs to be cleaned. Canister is nice and compact less plumbing. Horses for courses.

aquafunk
Thanks for all the advice. I guess sump is the go, would a bigger pump make the water cleaner? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

bazz
If you want to save power, check the wattage of the pump you are using. Lower the wattage the less the power you use. I prefer canisters, you can see the dirt much easier in a sump and I always felt obligated to clean it haha. There is also way too much room for media which always lead me to adding unnecessary crap. Also with a canister if the power shuts off you won't have water spilling out of your sump at all. Each to their own really, sumps are better if done right. Also acts as a refugium. You can throw your heater in a sump, which eliminates the possibility of larger fish smashing it. Canisters are just easier haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
