Well,

Trio & pair of A.calvus"white"

C.leptosoma "Mpulungu" colony of 12

Labidochromis caeruleus colony of 25-30

These take up 3x4 footers & 3x2 footers

Have a 4x2x2 set up as a planted display, mainly broadleaved species.

Discus, rams, cardinals, harlequin rasboras, rummynose, couple of ghosties, whiptails, albino bristles, peppermint bristles, cory sterbai.. take to long to list scientific names on all of them.

Been into cichlids for 7 years. Been on forums for about 5-6 years.

Fish as a hobby{ponds} or sport on & off for couple of decades.

Have kept numerous different types of cichlids. Started with a few africans, bred salvinis...{get bored often}

Down sized recently, as of major move may be coming & time restraints.

Have spent around 4 years of my time in 3 lfs, with various roles. Now just pop in & annoy Brad a few times a week.

Frenchy :D

I do not run systems but spnge and box filters with my own design home made revers flow undersand filter. It is all run of 2 air pumps accept the one in my office has a 2500l/h trickle filter.

I have been in the hobby since I was 5 and am now 35. I have tried to breed most species from tetras, killies, rainbows all the way through to catfish and cichlids. have succeeded in most but do have a couple of achillies heals that I have never had luck with.

This for me is a passion beyond compare that I hope to turn into a small business due to a recent back problem it is my only choice left to make a living as I am now a liability to most companies and employers although I can still do what a healthy man can do and more on a lot of occasions.

So thats my caper up here and I hope I havent forgot any fish.

Hey I'm Chris. Been in the hobby since April 2006. First tank was from Aquariums 'r' Us. Standard 4 footer with stand. It was a tropical tank. Killed a lot of fish in that tank from inexperience. Gave up on tropicals and went to cichlids. Much easier :)

I now make my own tanks and stands as I have access to free timber and glass. Perks of the job ;)

Just started converting my double garage into a fish room. Well half anyway. Gotta put a wall in and insulate. Mrs says I can have as many tanks as I want in the garage as long as they are not in the house 8O I intend to make the most of this offer

ive been keeping fish for about 3 years now. had a tank when i was young with guppies and crayfish that i caught in the creek then i got a couple of convicts and lost interest when i was about 13.. 7 years later a mate offered me a 2 foot tank with everything for $20 so i snapped it up and got an aussie bass had him for a few months til he got too big then got a 3 footer then almost a year later he outgrew that.. so i traded him and got an adult male electric blue. then one day i was in a shop i saw a brown electric blue? confused i asked why it wasnt blue and was told it was a female so i thought hmm my male might like some company so i bought it and took it home. floated the bag for 10 minutes and then let her go the male i had started flipping out and then they bred i didnt know what was goin on, all within half an hour of gettin her home... she held for 2 weeks then spat out 22 fry.. that was me hook line and sinker.

now i got 8 tanks running soon to be 10. since i dont have a fishroom yet i have them all spread out around my house so its like a mini african underwater world.
