Archamidys
Woke up this morning to find that one of our discus must have been swimming around and bumped into driftwood as he has a bit of branch broken off and stuck in his head. Not sure what the best treatment would be, try and pull it out? or leave it and see if will come out by itself? Any suggestions?
BRISSY
I would say remove it with tweezers, separate the fish into a quarantine tank and dose with Epsom salt. Not sure if you should bump up the temp at all, I would say minimum of 30 degrees. Do you have other fish in the tank? Or a cat? Because I would assume he got spooked at darted very fast into the wood. I've had both discus and geophagus die from being spooked and hitting there head on the side of the tank or driftwood.
