Chris Tschumy
I'd get rid of it just to be safe. Looks tilapia, but not 100% sure

Cazoking
Its illegal to release tilapia but its your choice.
Lictoga
You want to get a $200,000 fine for a fish that is such a environmental catastrophe. By all means keep it. But for the love of all that is holy DONT put it any ware near a creek, dam, stream, pool, pond, ocean, waterfall, or a low cloud.

Good on you for making this thread to find out, but now you know you are required by law to kill it. brutal I know but thats the way it has to be. Donny@ageofaquariums
Or get someone with no attachment to the fish to do the deed for you. In cases like this involving a pet, a mercenary or assasin can often solve the problem out of sight, out of mind. I used to hire a contract killer who went by the name of Jack Lutjanus. Guy was good.
