Bear
Well i am so gutted right now. Got up this morning to find all but one of my new Marble BN dead, 3 out of 4 Cory's dead also. It seems the low PH & high ammonia caused it. I thought i was doing everything right...but apparently not. We live & learn i suppose, just annoys me i wasn't diligent enough. And my "cycled" filters weren't cycled as much as i thought! Just hope the last BN pulls through and my new Discus are in the big tank too. I put it into my well cycled display tank but haven't seen it since this morning.
The Tech Den
Sorry to hear that, it can be painful when it happens. Do you have anything to help with the Ammonia to help what is still there? Zeolite, or dosing dechorintor like prime or supachlor?
Bear
The Tech Den thanks mate. Yeah i have some Aqua Star. I took everything out. But to keep it cycled i put in 4 Platty's and did a water change.
The Tech Den
So if the aquastar works on Ammonia like the other two I mention you could dose it every 48hrs to help bind the Ammonia - just did not want to see you loose anymore than you already have but sounds like you have it sorted. Best of luck with it and hope it goes well from here on in for you.
