Bear
Ok. So i used Beencees DIY substrate recipe today on my 4 foot. I went WAY overboard with the height of the substrate I capped it off with washed play sand. So removing it & starting over won't be happening anytime soon. So my dilemma is, what would you recommend to use as filtration as not to stir up the sand. The height of the substrate is around 6 - 7" deep. Donny@ageofaquariums
What size tank is it? Maybe something like a HY303D with a cut down intake pipe.

Donny@ageofaquariums
So you have 11" of water above substrate? On the plus side it moves light loving carpet plants closer to your lights! Edited May 10, 2014 by Donny@ageofaquariums
