regani
Get as much of the food out as you can, then do daily water changes (30-50%) for a bit until levels normalise. To detoxify ammonia use Prime, Ammolock or a similar product. Adding some salt to the tank (depending on which fish you keep) will help to reduce nitrite toxicity

regani
Sodium chloride is what you want. Buy Rock salt or aquarium salt, not the regular table salt as that contains anti-cackling agents that may affect your water quality.

Donny@ageofaquariums
Water changes for the win. Baiscally as long as you dont shock the fish with drastic temperature change......... you can do large and frequent emergency partial water changes. johnbetta
