Nafe420
So I've always wanted a Jack but have a few questions before I commit to one. To start a young one would my 4x2x2 or 5x18"x20" be better? How long would a 6cm take to outgrow one of these tanks? Do they ever eat pellet or usually live/dead bait? And being so young, how long would it take to convert brackish to fresh? I understand I will eventually need a monster tank, anyone with experience growing these out I'd love to hear some info. Cheers
presto
Hey mate I had one from 4 cms to 50 cms . Went from 2ft to a 4ft then a 6ft in the space of 2 yrs. mine took pellets but loved live an dead food too. Mine was fresh when I got it . As far as I know there easy to convert as long as you do it slowly . Mine went from fresh to brackish as he got older . They do better if brackish water when there older . Like any fish the more you feed them an change water faster he will grow .
Nafe420
True that's almost as fast as a Barra I had. And yea think they head for the ocean when mature so that makes sense. Thanks mate
