bluebelle
I use Bunnings t8s, Osram 850, 6500k, 3200l. Plants grow like crazy, have to thin out every 2 weeks.

I use T8's from Hayman's Electrical 4', Triphosphor 6500k, around $3ea. Plants flourish brilliantly, and with Co2, but I understand T5 are the popular choice nowadays. I bought mine in Morayfield, plenty there.
Donny@ageofaquariums
T8 is still a valid light choice, and will grow plants and corals. The real limiting factor is the depth of your water. If its too deep, water will filter out most of the light.
Sparky19862
Even if you add more tubes Donny@ageofaquariums ?? I'm running two 4' t8's with 6500k tubes from Masters and plants seen to go okay in it with DIY CO2?
Donny@ageofaquariums
Adding more tubes helps. But the more tubes, the more power you use, and the more tubes you need to buy yearly.
